Age Verification

Linden Lab announced earlier this week that they were implementing an Age Verification program, via a third party, to prevent teens from accessing adult sites within Second Life. There is a large faction of SL’ers that are up in arms about this.  I do not frequent the adult related areas of SL nor profit from them.  I do however understand that it may have an impact on them and therefore they have the right to protest such restrictions.  Ultimately the bottom line is that Second Life is owned and operated by Linden Lab and it is their decison to make.  Love it or lump it.

Personally I would prefer they focus on issues like raising the prim limit on parcels and figuring out how to stop me from showing up as Ruth.  Oh yea, and that annoying thing about tp’ing in with your hair up your butt.  What’s up with that anyway?
